The Department provides round the clock (24*7) Labour services, where a state of the art, fully air conditioned and well equipped labour ward is available to appropriate care for women in labour. The department offers excellent opportunities for research in various areas of obstetrics and gynecology. Our mission is to create a vibrant culture of scientific spirit and produce cutting edge research output and to encourage students to develop spirit of enquiry and build robust foundation for scientific research. We have 2 research scholars in PhD. Department has over 90 research publications in various national and international journals.

The Department emphasizes on producing competent and skilled graduates by teaching evidence based medicine and clinical skills in Obstetrics and Gynecology to MBBS, MS, AHS, Physiotherapy, Nursing and other Department Postgraduates including microbiology, pharmacology, community medicine  students.

The teaching programs includes regular, structured theory classes, clinical discussions in OP departments and bedside tutorials, vertical and horizontal integrated teaching. In addition, symposiums, seminars, guest lectures and CME are conducted regularly.

We provide high end multidisciplinary care for patients in collaboration with Interventional Radiology (Uterine Artery Embolisation), Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Urology backed up with an advanced and well equipped with Intensive Care unit & High dependency Unit.
