Cardiothoracic Surgery Department has become fully functional in Saveetha Medical College & Hospital from 2016 onwards. At present Cardiothoracic Surgery Department perform all routine Adult and Congenital open heart surgeries, Thoracic and Aortic Surgeries. We specialize in Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Aortic Root Replacement, Lung and mediastinal surgeries and Re-do Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeries.
We are fully equipped to conduct complicated cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgeries. We have a 9 bedded state of the art Post operative Cardiac ICU. We are recognized by TN Government to conduct cardiac and lung transplant surgeries.
Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at present is planning to do research on innovations in cardiac surgical techniques to reduce post op mortality and morbidities.
