The Department of Dermatology at Saveetha Medical College Hospital strives to provide comprehensive dermatological care for all skin types and ages with a goal of promoting healthy skin.

ACNE SCAR REVISION
Microdermabrasion is a facial resurfacing procedure wherein a wire brush with a diamond fraise abrades the most superficial aspects of the skin until the superficial dermis to promote skin growth using a high-pressure flow of crystals.
PIGMENT REMOVAL
Pigmentation lasers are based on the principle of selective photothermolysis wherein the target chromophore melanin is heated by rapid pulses of laser beam at very small pulse durations of picoseconds to break them into finer particles which are then phagocytosed and removed via lymphatic drainage improving the skin colour.
LASER HAIR REDUCTION
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive technique that uses highly concentrated light to penetrate hair follicles. The laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft in the follicle-generating heat which damages the follicle to inhibit future hair growth
HAIR RESTORATION
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a three-step medical treatment in which a person’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp to treat hairloss. This is mainly used to treat andogenetic alopecia and also as treatment for acne scar revision.

Intralesional immunotherapy is a safe, promising and effective treatment which has a better therapeutic response, needs fewer sessions and is also capable of treating distant warts.
