Overview

The department of Cardiology was initiated in March 2014 and is presently a full fledged dept with 3 Professors, 3 Asst professors and 2 DM postgraduates.

The DM(cardiology course was started in OCT 2016 and there are 2 recognised seats presently.

The 1st batch of DM cardiology student successfully completed the course Aug 2019.

MD(Gen medicine) students are also posted for one month in the 2nd year of their PG course.

The department also handles MSc Echocardiography & cardiovascular imaging, BSc CVT, BPT and BSc PA.

We regularly modify and introduce new innovative methods of teaching , so that the students graduate as competent, responsible doctors and paramedics.

Teaching Facilities

• An air conditioned  seminar hall  with 50 seating capacity , smart board, WiFi and OHP is available  to provide an integrated learning experience.

• Five  classrooms are also available for small group teaching

• A Departmental library with 141 Text books,  e journals from past to the latest which can be accessed including  Circulation, NEJM, The Lancet, BMJ and Indian Heart Journal(www.search.proquest.com)

• In addition there is a Central Library with 416 cardiology books
