Impressively designed air-conditioned seating rooms with state-of-the art projectors having a seating capacity of 250 each. Demonstration rooms with smart board facilites are equipped with sophisticated equipments and teaching materials required according to their respective disciplines
Library
The central library boasts of more than 15,000 medical books on a plethora of subjects spawning multiple disciplines. These collections are augmented by 1500+ E-journals facilitating higher learning and research. Newer softwares such as Library and Modern Learning Management Software (MLMS) facilitate digital learning and streamlined reading process.
Hostel Facilities
Both the men's and women's hostels are well-ventilated with spacious interiors that have round-the-clock electricity and water faciliites. Students can choose their rooms based on their preferences by opting for an individual, double or triple-sharing rooms in either of the four floors. All the rooms have an attached bathroom and AC power supply available. Mess facilities are provided in an a-la-carte system available with ample, hygienic cuisines catering to multiple tastes.
SMCH prides itself in its fleet of luxury AC buses that shuttle to different corners of Chennai and are the most popularly used means of transport in the college. These services are available to staff and students alike.
Sports Facilities
Adequate sports facilities are provided in the campus with multiple sports grounds designed for different events. Basketball, tennis, volleyball courts, football, cricket grounds as well separate enclosures for field and track events.
Recreational Facilities
SMC boasts of a massive ground spanning multiple acres that serves up carnival-style festivities during the colourful Pongal festival welcomed by the various fraternities of the Saveetha Family. It also has outdoor sports grounds that hosts multiple sporting events throughout the year. A pristine library along with its separate reading rooms serve to soothen frayed nerves. An additional gym and fitness centre acts to maintain physical activities and houses exercise equipments.
